i recommend this axle but idk where you can get one cheap, i kept seein em for dam $2000 then i came across this one for $500 and low mileage so jumped on it. it was just a guy saling it parting a truck out

Hey I am wanting to straight axle my Duramax as well and I had purchased a 78 D60 for it a little over a year ago and now from what I have been reading I think I will change over to the same axle you are using. If you have any info as where I could pick one up for a good price let me know please. Thanks.
