Hi Russell,

Thanks for getting back to me. Lets just say I ordered a used motor (70K miles or so:) ) That met every specification especially VIN digit "E" which was the determining factor with the company we purchased from. Once the motor arrived, we found it has mechanical lifters instead of hydraulic, an internal water pump unlike the external on the 87 and the motor mounts are not quite the same.This is just par for the course.I was wondering if you knew anything about why these engines that I have that are supposedly compatible are so different? I cannot find anything online! Have you or someone you know of ran into this problem? (The engine company has been no help) Thanks!
