Looks like drum brakes, at least on the rear. What backspacing did those wheels get? What size wheels are they, 16.5x?

All stock 404 axles have drum brakes!....hehe

Sorry for the poorly worded question, Ken. Actually I was just making the point of what brakes it had to lead into my question:

What backspacing do those wheels have and how wide are they?

I only ask because they are running 42 swampers on them and that would mean a 16.5" rim. So I was curious to what dimensions those wheels had.

there are alot of guys running 16.5 rims on mog drum brakes. If you find the right set, you wont even have to grind the drums. I fit my hummer rims on my mog to see if they fit right, and they would go great. the best set of regular 16.5's are made by thilo at T-los's ultimate offroad in Arizona. His require very little grinding if any to fit.

The reason his legs are broken is because while wheeling in his Unimog he ran over a hornets nest and got stung many times. He then jumped out of the cab to try and run and since he was wheeling it was an uneven surface he jumped down to and broke his legs.

Mitchell u mean. Im lost... where did mitchelle get in this thread....

Anyway..... Mitchell broke a leg and an arm. not two legs.

He jumped out to get away from a swarm of hornets. Landed on the rock garden and that took out his leg. The fall from that took out his arm.

Please folk do check the thread at SORV linked above. Mitchell is in a world of hurt. He got fired from his job due to recovery time and his insurance co. is refusing to cover medical bills which is in the tens of thousands.

Their is donation informaion at SORV for Mitchell as well. Also hats off to SORV... they sponsor Mitchells rockcrawling competitvie moggness and have gone way beyond the call of dutie in this non competition injury. SORV is some fine Fine folk....

Nope its not illegal. Built into this law to prevent firing due to injury is a maximum Time allowed for recovery. This protects busniness owners from having to put back to work a guy that has been out injured for.... Months... year.. yearssss..... etc. Its a reasonable thing.

After this time is up they have the right to fire you. This time allowed went by. Mitchell was not angered he totally understood the situation and also knew he was useless at his job till FULLY recovered which will overalll be a year or two when all is said and done.
