Almost lost the MOG today.

Well, after going to get some parts for the MOG, I was heading back to the shop and I noticed the front right getting low. This was no big deal, as the tire had a slow leak, and I aired it up before I left. But while crossing an intersection at about 45mph, the truck suddenly pulled really hard to the right. I almost got a chance to take out a light pole, a signal utillity box, a few guard poles, and about 5 sonic drive up menus. Luckly, I was able to steer the truck out of it, and slowed down. I thought that there was damaged pavement, combined with the flat tire, but later I went over and looked, and it was nice and smooth. I aired up the tire, rebuilt the dist. And took the truck for a drive. the Dist worked much better with new points and a new condenser, and over all the truck ran well. And it didnt do that pulling thing again. I dont know if it was a seizing wheel bearing, or just a freak chain of events, but who knows. I was not applying the brakes when it happend, so the brakes did not lock up. Man I dont really want to get into the hubs to check bearings. I just replaced all the wheel bearings in the D-90, and I am going to have to change the Broncos wheel bearings tomorrow. I really am getting sick of them. Hopefully it was just a freak thing. I had this happen once when the tire went flat, but it was not as sudden, but it was close. And it seemed to go away after I slowed way down, very similar to what happend today, but not quite.

Ohwellllll.
