Anyone Interested In CTIS (Central Tire Inflation) for 404's?

I just had a couple sets of CTIS bolts machined and with the program now done was thinking about possibly selling these kits. Just not sure if anyone is really interested in these.

With rotating union installed in back of box

Also just trippled the size of my shop and have an NC mill and hopefully a nice CNC plasma soon so contemplating starting to sell my box brace again or even a full fabricated houseing.

As with all things, price is going to be a factor. I have kinda always wanted ctis so really it will just be a question of when over how much. It looks like you have some time into those so don't sell yourself short.

They look purdy, but how long is the hollow? I have bent a few of the stock portal hub bolts!

Price is next on the agenda for me.

Looks nice!

Any concerns about the slot depth cut in the bolt head? I'm not sure from an engineering perspective how thick that surface needs to be to provide effective clamping forces in the hub, but I know that the factory bolt is torque is supposed to be pretty damn high.

I've already got a set of CTIS bolts, but what I don't have yet is a new plate / washer that goes behind that bolt head and presses against the hub. It would be nice the get a nice thick set made that could be notched to help protect the airlines and fittings, with a pocket machined out for the bolt head (and clearance for a socket!) Maybe even something with a protective cap that could screw down over the top of the whole assembly so that the airline fittings were completely hidden?

Overall diameter would need to be small enough to clear the wheel hub (obviously) for the popular large-offset wheels. (H2s, Hutchinsons, etc)

I'd like to see something like that for sure!

Ya know... I wouldn't worry too much about that bolt head or torquing it down that tight. If your hubs are as hard to get on and off as mine are I wouldn't worry even if that bolt was missing.

I would be interested as well. Of course price would be the determining factor. The CNC disc bracket/ portal brace would also be on my list.

Driving around with the bolt out is a good way to get them loosend up!
