404 Pinion Ratio

I'm building a buggy with Taridon 404's.I have to get my LS1 computer reprogrammed.
The programmer need to know the pinion ratio and the final gear ratio.

I'm running a 4L60e and 42" Irocs if that matters.
I have counted the times the pinion turns to one revolution of the tire and it seems low. I thought 404 had 7.56:1 ratio. I counted about 3.75 pinion revolutions to one tire revolution.
Help anyone.
Thanks.

Id bet you were counting the turns of a front diff. My point is if you count the pinion vs. the ujoint you would come up with your numbers. Try waiting on the tire to turn one revolution.

Recently I read that there were 2 R/P set-ups for the mog 404. Both were 3.54:1. I just got one of each and was wandering which set-up is stronger?

Does anyone have any info on this?
Were these different for a reason?
Different years?

had one apart last night, it was 7-25 (teeth)
I posted this info a long time ago, but cant find it now.
I have run both of the teeth combos and never broken either.
I am guessing different years..... I did'nt even think to look at the build tag either...
