MRT Beadlock wheels

Go2Guy Engineering is now a distributor for MRT's line of wheels, groovers etc.

These wheels are tough, proven and can be custom built to your bolt pattern and backspacing requirement. Powdercoated rather than painted.

Also have bead lock kits for the do it yourself guys.

Lots of popular sizes and styles in stock, customs take a few weeks but at least you wont be hearing "Your wheels will be shipped in two weeks" for six weeks straight while they already billed your credit card.

Give me a call and I'll hook you up!

got any pics of the parts needed to do this ?

Pics-

Jack,
If it's ok, I'll get you some next wk, Brant is on his way to Farmington already. essentially you take two lockring kits and weld them on. I was going to do this with the factory Volvo wheels but I could get more BS /narrower track with conventional 17" shells. There's lots of cheap 16" wheels out there, take even a 16x7 add 2 kits in you end up with 17x8.5"- not bad!

should be a good approach for the normal 4-5" BS though.

Inner and outer beadlocks for a 17" tire by using a 16" wheel, now that is very interesting.

MRT does not deal in Aluminum yet correct?

MRT will weld on rings if wheels are sent to them?

Yes to all questions

hey Kevin,
Yes the 16" deal will work, had one mocked up myself for the buggy.

They do have aluminum rings that weld to aluminum wheels and then use any one of their formed steel lock rings.

Yes, you can get the kits to do it yourself or send them the wheels to do it for you. I can haul wheels between races if it will help anyone (I live 40 minutes away from the shop)

Ken, about to be leaving for Farmington, Blume

Ken when you get a chance could you PM/email me a price for the procedure.

It would be shipping 16" aluminum wheels and getting the front and back done with aluminum inner rings and unpainted steel outers. Brant knows Mike Smythe and I fairly well (we've tested some rings for MRT) so maybe mention that for me, thanks.

Could you also get me the overall wheel width increase with inner and outer locks. I'm assuming 1"-2". Thanks again

Will do...

The steel kit typically gets you 3/4 per side, will verify on the aluminum kit- you're talking 17" kits right?

Yes Ken 17" kits.

I'm looking at taking some deep backspaced 16" Aluminums and adding the 17" kits inside and out. I need the additional width to figure the max backspacing and I also need the rings inner diameters to assess brake clearance. I have Allied locks now and didn't know if MRT had the same inner diameter in the rings- they look very similar.

Thanks again Ken, this could definitely be an interresting project
