This groover comes with four temperature settings and a pressure-activated head that adjusts to fit cutting blades from 5/64" to 7/8". This is day and night to other groovers that wear the user out faster than anything else, it cuts like butter through rubber with very little effort by the user.

The groover is priced at $375

One more thing, since this is a expensive groover to only use the one os so times you may need it, I am willing to do a buy back on them that will be pro rated on how long you have had it and what kinda condition it is in. Once I get some back under this plan I will be able to sell used ones at a cheaper price and after getting one back a couple times I will be able to rent or lease them out.

Thanks,
John

I have not had enough personal experiance with the differant sizes to give you a straight answer, but I just called my distributer and they said their is 6 even steps from 5/64" to 7/8".

I do believe that is the width, the depth is adjustable by how far the blade sticks out. I have gone to about 1/2 deep on some passes but it is more likely to ruin blades the farther it sticks out.

I have one of these.. It is awesome. People come out of the woodwork when they find out you have one!!!!
Blade depth is determined by the adjustment of the blade itself. It has 2 clamps that can be adjusted when you attach the blade. The blades differ by the bottom contour.
The real harm in blades is when the blade is heated and doesn't have the tire rubber to cool it and it goes back to cut the tire. It then bends the blade and it's done. If you are careful 1 blade can do 2-3 sets of tires...

Until I have a used one to sell I cant give any more than 275$ back on a 375$ unit. That is figuring on you haveing it for around a month or so, and it coming back in near perfect condition. That should be enough time for about anyone to figure out what they are doing with it.

BF Goodrich uses these groovers - they definitely GET IT as far as groovers go!

We used Daniels that he let us borrow and it is awesome, looks to be the exact same one.
But don't groove those 48's sidewalls like that cause we did and the tires lasted about 5 minutes before they cracked and had a hole big enough for me to stick 3 fingers in.
It sucked to spend that much on something that you don't get to use.

How deep did you groove them?
Do you have any pics of how you did it?
would you say to not groove the sides at all? or just do it sparingly?
Something tells me you grooved them down to the cords.
I would like to talk to you more about how you grooved them so I can avoid some screw ups. Can you gibve me a call sometime when you have a chance.

thanks,
John

We tried to stay about 3/16 away from the cords but Daniel told us we could go all the way to the cords.
I tell you one thing i won't do that again.
I'll try to call you later i need to talk to you anyway.

Feel free John. Blades up here are a fortune at $100 for 20 from our local supplier so I might be calling you in a little while for some replacements.

We ran ours at about 10 PSI and they just cracked and fell apart. I called daniel and asked about it and he said that he'd replace them so we dismounted them and then ghe changed his mind and said that we must have abused them in the 2 hours that we had them on the ground.
I'd like to say a bunch of nasty things right now but since he's not here to be able to come up with some great excuse i'll just let it die. (can you tell i'm a little bitter ?)

Guys I got good and bad news, When I got the bill for BigHG's groover the price had gone up 35$. I called and they said it was because of problems in getting them imported. Well after talking to them they agreed to hold to the original price for a week because they never gave me any notice.

So here it is, till the end of the day August 11 the price will still be 375$ on the groover, after that the price is going up to 410$. this out of my hands so there will be no exception on this. I must have payment by that day.

thanks,
John
