Staz Works Civilian Beadlocks
I am finally ready, I have spent allot of time lately sourcing out all the materials I will need and now am ready to start taking orders.
I am offering 15, 16, 16.5, 17, and 20" wheels in double beadlock form. These wheels are new to me and I have not done them in the smaller sizes yet but with the experiences I have had with the 20's that I have done I am confident that I can make a quality wheel that can satisfy your needs. A little about this design of wheel and what I am doing different. I am using HDPE pipe instead of PVC thanks to "jasonmt" It is more flexible and with some work I am hoping that I can make it fit into a tire without having to cut it into two pieces. I am going to use two full plates for the wheel center, this allows me more options when drawing center designs as well as giving me the ability to do some 3D affects without compromising strength. I am going to use an o-ring to seal the wheels instead of silicone. I will offer the rims in most any width with any back spacing. This is generally speaking, odd requests may have some additional costs. I also feel I can offer better looking welds compared to other wheels like this that will not leak the rims will be priced at, 15" -200$ 16" -200$ 16.5" -200$ 17" -225$ 20" -250$ These prices may be adjusted for future orders after I get into production and find out how things go. I will be offering a substantial discount to orders taken before or on Aug. 23. If you are interested contact me and we can discuss it. I am doing this to try and persuade as many people to order at the same time so that I can afford to buy the materials to get started doing these wheels. I believe I can get rims done in 4-6 weeks at this point depending on what exactly you want. Feel free to e-mail, PM, or post up if you are interested. thanks to all the people that have thus far shown interest in these rims. John Staz Works

with just one solid inner locking ring how do you inflate the tire?? ![]() 2. My goodyear AT2's came to me with the rubber locking insert. will these rims be useable with that insert or do i have to buy yours? If they will work whats the price for them without your HDPE rings? 20". 3. Thanks for stepping up to the plate and filling this nitch (sp?). I hope that your service and quality dont fall by the wayside as others have. Having met you @ supercrawl and talking to you some on other projects i feel confident that you can, and will, succeed in this venture ![]() ![]() 4. If you need any CAD work done drop me a line.

I am ready NOW !!!!
John,
I am ready for a set NOW, cash is in my hand, I am leaning towards the 16.5" size just to elimate the Caliper rubbing problem I had with my old 15's even though the calipers are clearanced. I PM'ed you a few days ago about the inner design let me know what you think. Thanks, Mark

You are runnig the 48's sceep right?
There is a diferance between the new and old 20's, the old ones are a far beefier rim that can take about any abuse you can dish out. the new ones are a little thinner rim shells and have a short bead height. The old 20's have a tall bead height that matches corectly with the bigger military tires. The new ones will work just fine as far as I know with the big tires though. The new ones are just a bit lighter. Another differance is the welding, the old ones are welded inside and out, while the new ones are going to be welded just on the outside to save cost, I can weld the inside for aditional fees though. That step has just proven to be very time consuming and expensive and by taking a few extra percautions I believe I can avoid it for the smaller rims and NEW 20's and still be sure and not have leaks. I can take off 50$ for the insert on the 20's othewise they are 75$ to buy outright. these are all introductory prices and they very likely will change once I get into production with them and find out how things go. As for the insert and inflating, it will reliefe cuts in it to allow it to bend a little as well as holes to allow air to pass though, there is quite a few things I need to do to the inserts to make them work properly. I hope this answered your question

I should be at the shop all day today so give me a call there if you can, 715-333-5591 If I dont answer keep trying I sometimes dont here the phone. It is hard to do everything when you are a small shop trying to do all the work and customer dealings yourself. I like the design you came up with though, can you e-mail me a CAD file of it if that is what it was on so that I can use it. thanks, John

I dont think there is going to be that much of a differance, he was using a 3/8 plate and a 3/8 ring,
I am using two 1/4" plates. So a 1/2" plate or a 3/8 plate and a 3/8 ring. I think they are going to be close to the same, I be within a few pounds. John

John what are you going to do about beefy up the lib on these, will you be offering a rock ring with these too? I'd like a set with the same centers as the 20's in your avatar, FULLY welded, 16.5 x 12's with 5" of bs, I'd like some rockrings or some kind of beef to help keep from bending the outer libs up, Jason Paul was using small dia. round stock and welding it to the edge of the lib, just an idea. Whenyou get some of the details ironed out I'll be more then happy to place an order with you, I need these rims ASAP!

I can do a rock ring, prety easily, let me know how you want it and I will get it done. I like that method a little better than welding the round stock on. I have been putting off getting some designs up for two long now, I will make a point of it to post some paterns today.

I do have some thought up but I do not want to post them yet. I invite TPIJeep to post up some of the ideas he has come up with.
They are very nice. John
