Can I assume an end yoke would offer those with short drivelines an extra bit of room compared to a flange? (sorry to continue hijacking, wheels are turning...)

Well i do not think it helps much there but keep thinkin it may pay off- i'd like to see a 8" shorter pinion conversion myself- 1410 end yoke and one that is not held on with a roll pin- Jess

8"shorter? The total lenght of the pinion conversion (diff.housing to end of flange) is 3". It is possible to cut down to 2". But then the splines are also 1" shorter and weaker. I donīt think you like to make a strong axle weaker.
It is possible to respline an end yoke. But this is also weaker and the most you can save is 1". |

I haven't fully installed them yet, just slide them on the pinion shafts. Last edited by blk87K5; 10-21-2003 at 11:21 AM. |
