We are still building the prototype so I'm not sure what the production model will cost. Probably between $500 and $700 for upper & lower links with rod ends, frame mount assembly and axle tabs. This price is just a guess.

i just read all the pages on the speck class,i am very interested.but i was thinking of a more complete chasis,with body panels and mounting tabs.any ideals on what a total price might be on such a beast.and what the cost of shipping to texas?thanks for the hard work and good prices...

Right now we are to busy building chassis and developing the other kits to do any finnish work. But we are looking for fabricators that want to do the finnish work on Formula Toyota's so we can recommend them to costumers.

the "james link" is a four link setup that the "x"chassis is designed around and setup to utilize.

the formula "chassis"or cage kit as it is also refered to is designed for a spec class rig that uses toyota leaf spring suspension front and rear.

to answer you question of how much does a full suspension cost, well that depends on what parts you decide to buy. ie heims, tubing, shocks , coils and such. hendricks motorsports is not really selling suspension stuff he is selling chassis that are designed to use either a leaf sprig or four link. for suspension stuff check out some of the other vendors like www.polyperformance.com they sell that hardware

For someone not planning to compete with one of these, would it be possible to have an un-welded chassis shipped to save $$$?

Also - are there plans later for a more roomy 4 seater version?

1. i posted elsewhere. if you want one i can get it to TN with a buddy that transport stuff out there.

2. i have the 4 seater version sitting im my garage. the rear seats are perfect for kids but headroom would restrict anybody over about 5'9"

On the formula toy is there enough space upfront to stick a winch behind the front tube grill area and still get a radiator and a fan without moving the motor back?

Dimensions are on his site. I'm going to say no way with stock motor mounts and stock fan. If you relocate the motor a bit, mount the winch low and use an electric fan you way be able to get away with it.

I'll be making my own hood. Mike said that it is intended to use a hood style similar to sand or other offroad buggies.

the hood design has a cowl and it kinda wraps up the windshield area about 6". Also you can mount the chassis higher on the frame if you don't like the hood idea. Of coarse this will raise your center of gravity.
