I went to order my line from your website....the site says you don't have chafe guards yet, but on this thread it says you do. Just trying to verify what I'm getting before I order.... Thanks -

If I wrote somewhere that I have chafe guards, then that was a mistake. The website is correct. I'm working on chafe guards. We are going through some testing before we release the product.

Wow, that was quick.
I'm still working on chafe guards, but a chafe guard will not prevent breakage on the edge of a rock. Chafe guards should be used when a rope is laying across a a face of a rock. I don't have good repair instructions, but they can be found on the net. The easy way is an end for end bury splice and this is most likely what you'll want to do. A better way is an end for end tuck splice. It's stronger, but a lot more work. Search for "12 strand rope splice end" and I'm sure you'll find tons of resources. If you want to send it in for repair, I charge $24 to do an end for end bury splice. Quote:

Could I get a quote on 75' of 3/8" OD Green with a safety thimble and chafe guard to 95661? Are you offering fairleads?

And here's the deal. If you post up with a review, on any forum, I'll refund $5 per review, up to $10. I'm so confident in the rope that I am asking for honest reviews. If you hate it post why. Send me links to posts with your order number and I'll send money back to you. I don't have chafe guards yet. I'm working on designs for ones that actually work. Will be a little while before they are out. No Fairleads yet. |

Just got my rope, thimble, and removable hook in the mail. Looks awesome! After my many wheeling trips over the years everyone should make this your first upgrade on any rig. I'll probably order another one once I set my winch up for the back of my rig.
