Hey Bud,
Here's a link to the forum member's pricing: http://www.jeepswag.com/winchline/forum/ I only sell 3/8" and it has a breaking strength of 18,000 pounds I don't offer a tubular webbing sleeve. They don't work very well as a chafe guard and they can bind when wound on to the drum under load. A much better solution is a removable chafe guard. While I have been working on a design, it's not ready for prime time. For the meanwhile, I recommend the chafe guard by masterpull. Brett |

Just wanted to say that I finally got a chance to break out the rope this weekend and use it (a lot) and it performed flawlessly. This rope is great!
Thanks again! I will be definately recomending this rope to other people

Technora does not require a heat guard and synthetic line does not require a terminal. Couple links with details:
Why no heat guard: http://www.jeepswag.com/winchrope/index.html Why no drum terminal: http://www.dominionoffroad.com/instr...stallation.pdf I really need to get off my ass and make chafe guards and fairleads. PM sent. |

I am most likely purchasing a winch Saturday it is not coming with any line, this leaves me with no better reason to hit you up...We met out at the CI4x4 vendor day, I'm the guy who kept asking about things and then realized it's all for the JK and i have a TJ.

Masterpull posted this on Expedition Portal and I was just curious of your thoughts.

There is a slight advantage to Dyneema over Technora, when it comes to going over blocks and even less of an advantage with abrasion. Both get their primary abrasion resistance by being coated with Urethane. Think about the statement. How is going over a block any harder on a rope, than going around a drum? The opposite is true. The drum is flat and a block provides much better support on the rope. This given why is it okay to use it on the drum and not around a block. His statements can't be denied, but he is certainly splitting hairs and leaving out the primary reason why they use Dyneema. Everything comes down to dollars. Technora is more expensive than Dyneema and that's why they don't use it.
I get a lot of feedback, from some really hardcore wheelers, about how stoked they are with my rope. I'll PM the forum members pricing link. The rope in this vid has been through two years of KOH: YouTube - ‪2010 King of the Hammers John James www.JeepSWAG.com‬‏ |
