Yes, bungee cords and bailing wire don't cut it. I knew a guy whose battery bounced and arced on the hood and lit his car on fire. After that he quickly picked up our battery mount and feels much better now. Too bad he could have prevented it and saved his wallet some $$ from having to buy a new battery, hood, and a whole load of aftermarket engine components that burned.

Mine wasn't quite that bad. Just had a cheap parts store hold down rigged in to the factory tray. Was too sick to put it in this week but its on my agenda for my next day off. Just gotta slap a few coats of paint on it and install it

Got my battery tray installed today!! Great quality!!

I did make a small change, I decided rather than use the nylocks to attach the top it would be better to weld the bolts to the tray inverted so i could use wing nuts so if i need to pull the battery for something down the line it will be quicker and easier to do.

What I had before:

Installed: 5/16" stainless steel hardware

I know it looks red in the pics but I painted it Hemi Orange. did the firewall too while I had the battery out. Don't mind the green, in the process of getting ready for a whole new paint job. Orange obviously
