Info on Mitsi J26 Jeep appreciated
Here in the UK I've got a 1975 J26 with the 4G53 ASTRON engine which I use daily.
If anyone has any info on compatible engines, gearboxes, etc I would very much appreciate hearing from them. Kind regards, Bernard |

Check out the Mitsubishi Diesel board on 4x4Wire.com. We discuss matters regarding the Mitsubishi Jeeps now and then.
Cheers, Russell

I google searched and came accross another thread you started...
anyways....I noticed someone said it was a narrowblock engine. You would want a narrow block from a truck, not sure if any of the narrow blocks were 4x4 so thats something to think about, transfer case setup. ![]() I'm not sure how strong the stock transmission is, but most narrowblocks engines should bolt up, most namely the 4G63 2.0L Turbo engine from a mitsubishi eclipse. I'd be worried about the strength though...
