Your limo in the snow reminds me of the original Outer Limits tv show, black and white..."we are in control of the vertical"
Looks great!

Thank you. The trannies were all 5-speed stock manuals. Two died by torque, the last one from an unfortunate landing on a rock. Cracked right through my skid plate and killed it.
I noticed, quite many solid axel swaps fronts on this forum. Impressive. I have thought about it, but I've managed ok so far with lockers helping when the IFS gets airbourne. Sooner or later its getting swapped, but I'm only accepting a swap to portals

Yeah 406īs would go nicely under your PAJ, might even look into usinage joints to make the suspension more MOG like. I looked into doing that but for what unimog axles run these parts it is cheaper to just buy a complete running driving Mog which will be my next vehicle purchase.

I will probably, if it ever happens, go for the Volvo military portals. In Sweden they are more common.

I could however recommend the '93 or newer super-select gearboxes. They seem stronger. I bought one, but haven't used it. Quote:
Thank you, all of you, for your nice words. In these few days I've been browsing pirate4x4 I've already learnt alot, and hopefully I will give something back to you as well. Hopefully.

My wife and I gave both our children Monteros for their Yule presents. My daughter had a selection of grilles to choose from, so she'll be driving a similarly equipped Monty as yours where this is concerned. Cheers.

Hahaha that thing is badass 88mitsu. Looks like 38 or 39 inch?
How does the steering work? Rubs the frame? Broken anything in the driveline?

Thank you. 38.5x15" (measures about 37") Steering is terrible off road, but has not broken. Rubs the fenders and tub. I have not broken anything but I don't push it too hard off road.

Funny how that works. You almost have to buy 42's to get a 38'' tall tire.

they are 31/10.50/15s, i like it the way it is, gonna turn the torsions to level the front and get a 4 wheel alignment at the first rotation. i like the tires, very quiet and plenty of traction, probably more than we needed for a daily driver, but oh well!! the wife wont let me ditch the running boards, but if we tear one off on the trail, then ill have no choice but to remove them and install sliders
