I was going to say, try the ARB's but that seems to be out of your budget. The hard part is, steel is so expensive and hiring a good fab guy could easily cost you more than the ARB. I recently added an ARB to my 85 Mitsubishi Pickup and I love it. It was soooo worth the money. I was looking at $1200-1800 to have one fabbed up. So I saved alot by going with the ARB.

I agree.

if you could Fab your own bumper then it would be worth it to do it.

Another choice is to do what i did and WAIT! I kept checking the Pick n Pull Junkyards on a weekly basis until one day i saw a killer bumper on a Toyota 4 runner. It cost me $50 for it. i made some custom brackets for almost nothing. ( $20 ). and here it is:

although i made all the brackets and cut the metal. i did have someone weld the winch box for me ( $30 )

so my bumper cost $100. look for a good deal and try to not get impatient and you will find an awesome bumper. Or just spend crazy money and you can get one.
