Annoying Electrical Problems

So about a month ago my blinkers went out then my dash board lights went out about a week ago. They went out while driving down the freeway, they flashes a couple of times and then went completely out (so it's not the fuse, first thing I chekced). Yesterday I went searching for the problem and found that a piece in the blicker control lever was broken. So I called the Stealership and spent 130 bucks on a brand new one. I thought this might fix both problems but after installing the new blicker switch, the blickers work fine but my dash board lights still don't work. And now i'm stumped. Any thoughts? Could it be the bulb?

Start with the easiest thing and work backwards check for loose bulbs maybe the bulb isn't getting good contact or has internal short, then dimmer switch twist it back and forth and see if it hits a dead spot or may even work off corrosion that has built up for some reason. After that start checking the harness for broken spots in the insulation/wiring.

Would I have to take the whole dash apart to check the bulbs or is there an easier way?

Na there should be a shroud that goes around the gauges that pops off/screwed in just take that off pull out the gauges and the bulbs will be on the back. Its been a more than a few years since i've worked on a sport so i can't really picture what the dash/gauge setup looks like and how it came apart. If you need help your welcome to stop by my house and i'll take a look.
