go to photobucket.com and create an account to save your pictures to

in order to post pics from your computer you have to buy a red star($20 a year) and if you plan to sell these on here as a vendor you must buy a yellow star($100 a year)

You got your shit flamed to pieces on 4x4wire, and you thought you'd do better here.

You'd be better off proving yourself on 4x4wire as a legit fabricator and earn their trust like anyone in the custom fab industry than trying here in the land of SAS and H-core DIY'ers. THIS IS PIRATE4X4! Trust me i've been making upgrades for monteros for 8 years, helping other fabricators like yourself and even working with vendors on aftermarket mods, let me tell you that 90% of your market is on 4x4wire. Go back there, back up your shit and prove yourself like everyone else had to do when coming out with something new. Good luck, and post up some pics

For some reason I don't see it like that, I think the guys here are very open to IFS buildups. I think Mitsu owners have a different mind set than Jeep owners. I occasionally spend time on 4x4wire but I don't see them as being 90% of the Mitsu community. The reason I spend more time over here is Pirate4x4 has a very user friendly forum. The 4x4wire forum seems a little outdated but that does not mean it does not contain valuable info. I feel the Mitsu community would greatly benefit from making a change to a more advanced forum, but that's just my opinion. But like Ninja said, you'll have to prove yourself somewhere sometime. He recommends 4x4wire, but I think you could prove yourself here as well but you need to make these decisions for yourself. But the reality is, there is not a whole lot of difference between 4x4wire and Pirate4x4, the members on both forum know what good and bad fabrication is, because they are knowlegable offroaders.

On a lighter note, I saved money by not going with Gieco

Nope, I think this is for real. It would probably be okay if want the offroad look and big tires but have no desire to take it offroad.

Lol

I would not trust that setup to drive over a speedbump at the mall much less go in the dirt with it.

$1900 and shipps in 10 days..

What i mean is 4x4wire has more active Mitsu wheelers than any other site, we are also nicer and more helpfull over there. Having said that, nitrous oxide is a much less painfull way to kill yourself dude not to mention if you survive the crash when it happens the lawers and insurance company will make you wish you were dead. Don't drive that on the streets anywhere please.

Looks like a lot of leverage working against those little bolts and thin metal ears.

That lift looks so flimsy it would collapse like a shitty stepladder when you try your first obstacle.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as for the other 9 lifts that i have right now

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There were very justified concerns posted over on the Wire. A quick look at the pictures makes it clear Monteroman does not have 9 other lifts as he claimed over on the Wire. I say that since if he had ever done any lift kit before he would have "had a plan" Things like steering linkage and torsion bar / coilover decisions would have been thought out long before the first metal was cut.
The position of the upper control arm inner pivot is clear this was welded as you go and never drawn up before hand.

This was a grand idea but now it is time to ! figure out how to get that thing off the lift and roll it around, the chance of ever making that drive is remote.

He's not talking smack, he is just calling it as he see's it, and he has rightfully called Monetromans credibility into question. There is just no way he has 10 lifts ready for shipment if he has not decided on a final design or beta tested it yet. A lift like this would require several months of Beta Testing before going to market. Failure to do so could turn into a nightmare like the RockCrawler 7up lift for the Jeep Liberty.
