Had another question: I mated the 4L80e to my round pattern NP205 and measured 4.18" from mating surface to mating surface. In your diagram back on page 5 (i think page 5) your CAD file said 2.5" ... What am I missing?

Also, how much exposed tube is left between the two round mounting plates if the overall outer length of the adapter ends up at 4.25"?



I almost ordered last week but the guy that was supposed to buy my old TH350 bailed....

The setup in your photo is a "stock" 4l80E 4x4 to a round Chevy 205(long input. We would typically manufacture a 4.5" long face to face adapter in that application. The drawing on page 5 is a custom 4l80E(cut down output shaft) to a Ford 205(shorter input). The setup can be shortened down if you really need to but you would have to replace the input in your 205 with a shorter one to make it worth the effort.

Below is a pic of a 4l80E Chevy 205 adapter. The approximate length of exposed tube is 3" the way this one is configured, but it can be longer if needed.

4l80e to 205
i would like a price on the kit to adapt a 2wd 4l80e to a np205. i have the 205 with the 8 bolt and female input. however i had hoped to not cut down the shaft on the 2wd 4l80e due to im getting one with a warranty. could u make it and how long would it be? i havent ordered the 4l80e yet. and my zip is 33813

I too am in need of this adapter. I'm using a Cummins with a dodge nv4500. I've already swapped my input to the 29 spline and am using a Chevy round pattern NP205. Mounting face to mounting face seems to be just under 4" but I also want to clock it just a tad bit, the only adapters I can find are 2" and are for the chevy nv4500.
