Looking for an older Bike.

Want to get something street legal.

like a 70's or 80's enduro bike.



i'd love something oil injected so i don't have to mix gas. but either way is fine.

anything to look out for when shopping for a bike like this?

i used to own a street bike, and did my own work, but older 2 strokes are much different then newer motors :P

Bultaco Fronteras are pretty sweet. But they don't have an oil injection system

Getting used to the shifter and brake being swapped are a small issue plus parts are getting harder to find.

I would look at older Honda XRs or Yamaha XTs
You can find them for for pretty decent prices and are pretty bullet proof.
Most air cooled 2 strokes I have dealt with seem to have a 6000 mile life span.
Plus there is the issue of fouling spark plugs every 50-200 miles.

I have a Yamaha 360 RT1 and a restored Yamaha Big Bear 304. I have rode both once then parked for display. The 2 cylinder 304 is pretty sweet sounding. I also have a restored Penton 6 day 125 that I like. Out of all my bikes I like the Bultacos the most.

I believe the Kawasaki KEs have oil injection.

I have a TS 400 I am working on. It is oil injected.

the front brake doesn't look the beefiest on that bike i think i'd try to avoid rush hour traffic

in a town of less than 6k i don't know what rush hour means, haha

plus most of its use would be about in the dirt where no one is
