Out of towner's going to California with two stroke bikes is it an issue?

Would like to go hit up the Rubicon and the Hammers on my 2010 KTM 300xc...

The Red Sticker is exactly the same as the Green Sticker except these vehicles can only be operated during certain times of the year. To find out when you can operate your vehicle, call the specific riding area you want to visit or view the information on the Red Sticker Open Riding Schedule web page.

If your bike is OHV licensed (where ever you live) you are fine to ride where ever you vacation

Ca does not reconize street legal status of vehicles that are not sold as street legal in ca.

Colorado does not reconise and you need to buy an ohv permit from them

What I was trying to say was, that the site said Redstickers don't apply to nonresidents... so I am good to go whenever I want to ride my 2 stroke in California. Thanks for the link.

Q: Does the Red Sticker riding season apply to non-residents?

A: No. The CARB regulation applies only to California residents. A non-resident operating a dirt bike or ATV with either a registration or the equivalent from another state or a California Non-Resident OHV Use Permit is not restricted to the Red Sticker riding season. Non-residents may be asked to verify their residency by a driver's license or other identification when contacted in the field. (9)

You still need to get a Nonresident permit if it is not registered in your homestate. If it is registered have you proof with you because no proof of reg = impound.

Sounds like your question has been answered... but Ill make it easy. All you need is an out of state sticker, they are really easy to get and about 30 bucks. Good for 12 months also. You dont get em from the DMV but local shops usually. CA is really only hard on its residents since they are the tards asking for it haha
