I know it is highly illegal, but you might want to swap the VINs and work off the unchopped one. It looks like more of a blank canvas to start with. Other than that, my approach would be a case of beer, roll around chair and hours of staring at the bikes to see how this will work before I get started.
Why not apply for lost title??? Thats not illegal.

So here is where i am on these

The cut up 750 is getting hardtailed, nothing importent for that was cut

The other 750 is getting a minimalist build, good looks and reliability

The 550 i finally got to ride today. It was fun as hell, i have a few things to address and ill rock this out next season.

The 750's will wait until we get into a house

Changed the front tire to a better one for now. Exhaust will be fixed tomorrow courtesy of exhaust reducers and header wrap. New brake fluid and fitting tomorrow as well.

Needs a new battery and a license plate and she is good-ish.

she is a rider, exhaust fixed, wrapped and painted. seat reconfigured until winter. made a new tail light mount but haven't installed it yet. redid some of the wiring and repaired the brake switches. from m.c. leaks so that gets changed this winter. not sure what to do with the seat. i'm thinking solo and maybe make a removable rack for some saddle bags or cans.

this was after i ran out of gas with no license, no plate and no ins. longest wait of my life
