i think if the 6th or 8th digit in the VIN is a 3 or a C, it should be a red sticker, of course i cant remember the actual digit that it is, i am pretty sure its either 6th or 8th. of course mine by that rule should be a red sticker but i got a green sticker. usually if you buy the bike right after they come out, they get green, it also depends on how much your DMV cares. the vallejo one doesnt care too much

with a red sticker there are places at certain times of the year that you wont be allowed to ride your bike. they havent been enforcing it but im to understand thats about to change. there are very few green sticker eligable bikes out there so if you want to ride where and when you want you need to look into it.

Beware though, some officers know their shit when it comes to what should and what shouldn't have green stickers. Just because U get a green sticker in some round about way, dosen't mean U won't get a ticket. I have heard of people getting tickets, even though their red sticker ride had a green.

This is just some info I have to offer.

they can't give you a tickit if it's all legit. Once they see the proper paperwork they pretty much have to let it go and wait for somebody who still registers a 71 trail 70 so they can get a green sticker for their cr250. there are "legit"ways around it
