I heard a rumor KTM was going to offer street legal dual sports in CA next model year. Is this true or a rumor??

Rumors abound. You can buy the 950 Super Enduro now (probably not what you are talking about).

My local dealer (Malcolm Smith) sells the CMY 450 EXC with a Trick Dual Sport kit with plate mounting and lights and said to take your chances (supposedly it all depends on your local DMV whether they will accept VIN and it varies greatly).

You could always look at the street-legal Husky enduro available now.
