Temp replacement since the crank died in my little Husky. I actually owned this bike about 5 years ago then sold it to a buddy who rode it literally 3 times then it sat in his basement for 2+ years.

03 wr250f. Definitely not a 4-stroke fan these days, but it beats not riding at all. It needs some suspension and brake work but it runs well enough (after the carb got a nice hot ultrasonic bath)

My office moved and in turn my commute shrunk, so I picked this up to jam back and fourth from work and to run local errands and such. It's sorta fun to ride, and after 4 tanks of fuel it's averaging almost 99 mpg. Not too bad!

Make sure you inspect the back differential for side to side play.

They break the mounting tabs off and get cock eyed and start breaking drive shafts.

If its off centerline at all then its already bored out the holes on the mounting tabs. It can also be the soft aluminum of the case has bored out.

Simple to weld better tabs on and you can google image search Differential Braces for the grizzly to get an idea on how people fix it.

Solid rigs though. Have a 700 in the family.

I went and looked at my quad, before following directions and googling the diff brace and could not figure out what you were talking about. The 600's have a solid axle out back and dont have the problem with the differential moving in the frame.

Husky is still down and I don't care for the wr250f so picked up a kx125 for a back up bike. I plan on dropping a kdx200 engine in it some day (have had one sitting on the shelf for a while, need to send out the cylinder for a bore/replate)

Picked this Arctic Cat 300 up a while back with the motor half apart. Threw a Suzuki 250 motor I had laying around in and a few other odds and ends. Recently did a wiesco 10.25:1 piston and a little port work on the head.

Ahh yeah solid axle wouldn't have this issue. Should be a stout rig then as only the IS models suffer from this garbage.

The 700 has rear IS and this is all to common with them.

Had some new TKC 80's put on my G650. Only had time for a short ride around the block to burn off some of the mould release and now back to work for 5 days.

Ha I checked the tow rig section and commented. Didn't realize you guys had 3 husky's. There is one for sale at a local dealer.

Freshened up the SX for our local series opener tomorrow. Changed classes, so I had to change numbers which was an excuse to give it a new look.

New to me bikes, I haven't ridden in 5 years, sold the bikes to help buy the house years ago.

Picked up an 09 KX450 and an 05 CRF230 for 3K! Pretty happy to be riding again! The wife doesn't remember how to ride, had to go over everything with her again.

How are those on power?

I really wish I wasn't putting 6-7k a year on my 690 or I would love to get a 500EXC. The 690, while it has good power, doesn't really like lifting that front end other than 1st and 2nd.
