i ride a 06 KTM 450exc. i run 52/13 sprockets, handlebars narrowed 1/2 inch each side, GPR stabilizer, revalved forks and Dirtshark Rear with Pirelli Scorpion Pro front. In Winter i ride Trelleborg Studded tires. skid plate, pipe guard and bark busters. i race harescrambles and cross country with CMRC.

Part of a trail enters a muskeg field, the only way to get across is 3rd gear wide open. i was in 2nd and bogged down burying the rear below the swingarm. Because skeg is so deep and muddy, bikes get 'sucked' down. The only way to get your bike out is to wrestle it onto its side so you can drag it out to stand it up. Than, you run beside it pushing with throttle open to get it to the other side. If you came back to the area one week later, there would be no evidence of anyone ever being there. A skegfield will reclaim itself naturally.

The earth was hungry for weak unsuspecting victoms the ktm just happened to be on the menu for the day.....He got lucky and it only lost one leg before beating the beast off with a large stick.

Ha ha....the ktm looks nice!
