new grizzly bumper

built a bumper for a friends griz today. another friend has a grizzly too, so i made a copy of this one as well. im not into quads, ( i want one but dont need one) the factory front bumper is a peice of thin tin shit. i have exhaust tubing at the house thicker than that shit.

anyways, this is 1 1/2 HREW, .120 wall, with a peice of 1 3/4 in the center .120 wall. came out pretty good. the two main bars going down were kinda a cunt, cause they are compounded bends. meh.

we need to remake the winch plate, gonna cut down the warn plate and weld it to it. bitchen thing about the whole shibang, is if you unbolt it from the rack, the whole thing will pivot down out of the way if you need to service the winch or whatnot behind it

need to get some tube caps at the dealer, and paint it. also going to put some small clevis points for recovery action, but thats later down the road. its fuggin stout!! everything bolts up to factory locations.

i dunno, i was doing this for slave labor at my house

its about 4 hours in labor and about 50ish in parts......

do you have a welder? i can send you the peices and you can put it together yerself. reason i say this, is the 2 grizzlies that i have worked on doing this are thrashed, and neither one of them were even close to each other in terms of fitment.

another idea is for me to make it and you drill/cut the ends of the tubes down? basically ill make everything run long, and you can trim/cut/beat/smash to fit? whatever works.

someone in Texas must have a Honda? i really like the design i just don't have the time or space to build it. i think you found your new business, if you could incorporate the you could probably sell millions on the PBB.

yea nick, the winch mount is gonna be cake! im using the stock warn plate, its gonna get welded to the two 1 inch tubes that go straight back under the radiator. a few tabs for lights and d rings and it will be bad-fuggin-ass!

you cant see the little 1 inchers i have for support, but they go straight back where the stock ones were. i tried to mimic the factory bumper as much as possible to give it a stock look/feel. just now you can run over street signs with it

Looks great! Never really got to test out a Grizz, but I know the stock bumper on my Foreman was built like a tank. I cant count how many trees, rocks, and Polaris' I've pushed out of my way
