Brute Force750 Carnage

Anybody ever blow up a torque converter on a Brute Force 750. I think that's what happened to mine this weekend. It started making some nasty knocking noises coming from my belt drive snorkels. I just had a utility clutch kit put in it. Has anyone had the same problem.

Looks like the newly installed clutch kit wasn't installed correct. there is no torque converter.

yea just need to adjust the kickdown bands and recalibrate the exhaust servo

seriously though sounds like a bad install or you just need a new belt

Would this also be the reason my engine brake was not working properly. A few hours before it started knocking.

There is an actuator inside the clutch housing that activates the engine braking, it could be effected by the clutch not being installed right or simply they may not have plugged it back in. It sounds to me as though the primary clutch bolt may have come loose from not being tightened properly so i definitely wouldn’t ride it any more.

Well I checked out the belt drive/clutch that is not the problem. It's in the motor I have the extended warranty I just hope they won't bullsh*t me about and fix the problem.
