Ok I am fixing to sell my 00 yz125 and I was planning on buying a truck to replace my yota as my daily driver. But I started thinking a sportbike would be cool to have as a daily driver and I would still have the toy to drive as well. I will be driving about 30 mil. each way daily. Does anybody drive theirs that much a day, 80% of the driving will be down rural one lane highways with not much traffic. All the money I would save on gas would be cool but is the insurance more expensive on them
BTW I'm 18. |

The mpg depends on what kinda bike were talking about....
But for a daily driver/rider, crotch rockets get kinda old pretty quick, I mean that BOTH ways, the bike will "wear out" and unless your tottaly into it, ridding in less than nice weather SUCKS!!! Get a cheap car <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> and keep what ya got??

I drive my 00 Suzuki SV650 to work nearly everyday and get 40+ mpg!! I drive around 15 mile one way on the interstate, but usually leave home early to take side roads with more turns and less traffic. Insurance on that is only $250/year. I choose this bike over a crotch rocket for ins. reasons mainly, plus I'm getting old and chicks don't dig me anymore...lol
