The truck driver is a moron. But I can see him getting pissed off if he lives out there on a 30mph back road and these ass holes are always blowing through doing 80+ and passing on double yellow.

Put up with that for years on end and I could see getting pretty pissed off. look at the way they are riding at the beginning of the video.

Both sides are wrong bike passed on double yellow coming into a blind corner at probably triple the speed limit.Truck swerving at bike didnt make it better.There was also no reason for bike to stop they had the whole thing on tape. This probably wont end well for either side. There was an incident on Redwood road in San Francisco. A nice two lane winding country road. The residents got tired of the motorcycle riders speeding up and down the road all day long .They ended up pouring oil in thin strips on road. Its a fawked situation all the way around.

Because I can, it's a minor traffic violation and I do it all the time. The double yellow line is there to keep idiots from passing when they don't have enough time or power to do it, like someone hauling a 4 wheeler in a full size pickup. I do not, however, threaten anyone with a weapon or try to run them off the road. Those are both felonies and I'm not willing to pay the price. When someones doing 45 in a 55 on a double yellow, I'll pass them in a heartbeat, if it's safe.

The biker was wrong for passing on the double yellow. However, he did have more than enough time, and distance to do it safely.

Pickup driver had absolutely no right to take the "law" into his own hands, much less try to KILL the biker. I totally agree that he should have to face attempted manslaughter charges at minimum.

A 400lb bike going 10 over the speed limit staying in it's own lane is a whole 'nother cup-o-tea than a 6,000lb truck going 10 over the limit crossing the center-line in blind turns (speaking of the "chase").

The motorcyclist needs to spend time in jail for wreckless endangerment at minimum, the truck driver needs to be charged with attempted manslaughter.

Neither one needs to be operating a motor vehicle.

I have no idea, but I can say the truck was driving way more recklessly than the motorcycle passing the double yellow where he could see far enough in the distance to do it safely.

granted we can only see this vid from the brief and one sided perspective of the motorcyclist, BUT... in this brief window you see the bike cross the double yellow at, I assume well over the speed limit judging by thier closing rate, 1 time (again this is but a brief window of time and not the whole story)

While I do not agree with his rate of speed or crossing the double yellow to pass, he did have a brief straight and a clear view of on coming lanes so it was the safest place to make an illegal pass...


HOWEVER...!

The fucking hillbilly inbred asshat in the truck not only charged at the rider with a 3ton weapon but proceeded to cross the double yellow an additional 21 times, once it appeared he crossed to momentarily play chicken with an on coming rider. The truck was also clearly over the speed limit judging by his inability to stay within a lane around right hand corners (drifting into the other lane because the truck couldn't make the corner at that speed)




At the very least the rider should get a ticket for passing on a double yellow and speeding...

The inbred piece of shit however, needs a set of shiny bracelets and a trip to an asshole stretching facility where his cousin Bubba can teach him some manners... after that then his license should be permanently revoked.

There's an easier way to take out a grievance against the riders he was complaining about... do what this rider did... license plate and film... call the cops.

Bottom line is that 2 wrongs don't make a right! A smart driver would have slowed down and let the foolish biker pass him safely, but this inbred loser damn near ran him off the road and then drove like a reckless fool trying to catch him, so he could do what? Run him over?

I see dumb bike riders all the time doing unsafe ridding while I'm driving in my truck. And I always slow down and get out of the way. You wanna know why? Because I dont want my day ruined, and I don't want to see dead bodies all over the road, or splatted on my truck. Yeah it makes me furious, but I want nothing to do with it.

I've had people swerve at me while slowly splitting lanes in bumper to bumper traffic, that's bullshit! When I'm driving, I always make sure to watch out for motorcyclists and leave plenty of room for them to get by me safely.

Every Person I know that rides a bike passes when safe over a double yellow...Big Fucking Deal. Seriously If asshole had not of swerved at him the lead rider would have been in the other lane for what 1.5 seconds. Watching the video both riders rode very well. Safe following distance from dumb ass in case quad falls out, and get the hell out of the way by the first so he doesn't get run over. Obviously there's very little car/truck traffic on this rode as they passed only a few cars and a couple bikes (WHO THE TRUCK DRIVER ALMOST HIT NOT THE GUY ON THE MOTORCYCLE!!!!)

Why are people so unwilling to accept that a motorcycle is most likely going to go a little faster. In reality bike versus car/truck/pole/cow whatever it is the bike going to lose. If the guy in the truck was that pissed he simple should have done what the motorcyclist did and call the COPS...
