Finally bought a frame this week and started building it up. This is going to be my do all bike because I can afford only one so I am going to build it for the best of all worlds. Here is the progress I have made so far.
Part 2 will start next week and will consist of:
-Hayes comp hydros w/8" front & 6" rear
-raceface northshore dh's
-XTR shifters and der.
-IRD cassette and chain
-michelin meats f & r
Part 3.................the finishing touches

I used to ride the gap alot and various other places. I have yet to ride at sokel because I have been without a bike for the past 2 months. I want to ride there real bad. I just hope I will have enough money to complete this bike soon, then I will take you up on that offer at sokel.

Vova - how is demo? I rode in SC for the first time over Thanksgiving, and it was great... well, sort of. Picked up poison ivy yet again (2nd time this year).

Demo is really fun. The climbs are half fire road and half single track to the top. The downhill is 100% single track

It's some of the best riding in the area. No rangers, so go as fast as you want

We should setup a ride since my bike is finally done

I need to get myself back in shape ASAP!

I have a seat, you can have it for $5 (bought it for $80 a long time ago, and I think it's in decent shape). It's for XC I believe, should be light. I have a MRP as well.. it's missing a plate and the rollers. $8 and it's yours (I can throw in the boomerang if ya want that). Hmmm... gotta dig up other junk in the garage. I'll see what I can get ya.

Vova, demo sounds like fun then! How bad are the climbs? Is it illegal? :P

The climb to the top is easy. Them you drop into a valley and have to climb back out

It's not really that bad. Even my out of shape self can do it in a few hours.
Maybe next Sunday AM...

What kind of seat is it? I might be interested if Slug passes

Any jumps/obstacles/techy stuff on the trail? I'm starting to pick that stuff up a bit... (still pretty small) but fun I suppose. Maybe next Sunday AM for sure.

well I am going to have to pass on that stuff(seat, mpr) because I already got an old seat like that and I am going to be running a dual chainring setup. Just looking for a bashring that is slightly bigger than a 34 tooth ring. Thanks for the offers though.

Well I am making some more progress on the heckler project finally. I got my rf evolve fr bb today as well as my xtr front der. Got to mount it all up with my rf northshore dh cranks and my eggbeaters that have been sitting in a box forever. Tommorrow I am going to order my ird cassette/chain and this weekend I am going to pick up my small and middle chainrings. Oh, and my tires should be here tommorrow.(I hope) I will get some more progress picks this weekend if time permits, otherwise I will on xmas day when my heckler comes alive!! hahahahahahaaaaa................I am going to ride all day next wednesday.
