Usually I just ride my road bike. If I have to ride in the morning I may have to wear tights. . Did I mention that I train on my road bike on the coast with a nice ocean view. Oh yeah it only rains about 4 months out of the year.

Fair enough... but that WAS my training for riding. My coach at the time (Chris Carmichael) put me on those workouts. Sounds like "bicycling" type training to me.

indoor mtb

I ride my mtn bike in my living room more than anyone I know. Great for balance, plus bunny hopping onto the back of the couch or kitchen counter is a lot more fun than it sounds.

Other than that, skiing and snowboarding are a free 5 minute bus ride away, if you like winter stuff....

winter training

Pull off your freewheel and screw on a track cog.
Loose the derailluers too and go fixed gear. It develops great pedal power and you can really hammer it.

FIXED GEAR and . The only way to fly!!!!!!

I use rollers in front of my computer. I also lift weights and use an eliptical trainer.

Let me think way back 4 years ago when I raced and worked at the bike shop.

Winter training seemed to include riding to and from work just like in the summer just colder and wetter that in the summer

Then there was the snowboarding

Group roller rides in my garage. 10 people all riding rollers hanging out in my garage trying to knock each other off the rollers.

Lap swimming.
