Hey guys be careful

Hey guys I've just been informed of some sh!tty stuff. Be careful about some bay area riding scenes. First off for anyone that knows about the sacred Las Trampas better stop riding it and the built trails on it. Don't build anymore. My buddy told me that the built trails are gonna be heavily patrolled with sting operations for builders. All built trails are gonna be destroyed and anything illegal(most of the park) is going to be even more so. Second, Diablo has massive speed limits like 15 mph so watch out. Now I'm pissed!!!! This aint cool. Trail builders screwin everything that I like to ride. I'm not so much mad at the builders since they do cool stuff, just mad that their trails get found so easily. Apparently fines will be over $40,000 for trail building. Grrr, time to join the trail patrol so I can continue riding. So, be careful guys, and if you find some other cool places to ride let me know. Thanks.

I know it's a long drive for some, but the Los Gatos/Sata Cruz have some real good riding and it's still a free for all. I've never seen a Ranger up there.

Lets ee here...fireroads are still totally legal. But If you've ever ridden any of the cool singletrack, or any of the nice built up trails then you wont be able to anymore. Before it was illegal but no one really cared. Apparently now people are complaining and so measures are being taken so that we can't have fun anymore. The solution that I might use is to sign up to be on the trail patrol from the parks service. You get to ride or otherwise known as "patrol" the cool trails up there and not be given trouble for it.

I'm sure they are doing it just so you can't have fun anymore

trespasing is trespassing

how bout getting together with your local parks and rec and getting some deignated trails going. you guys could volunteer to help maintain them and then you will always have a place to ride. this will also significantly reduce the "need" (urge is a better word) to ride illegal trails. I'm sure you could get local bike shops in on the action and get major support from them... just promote positive use and attitude...don't slam anyother groups. answer any comments about other groups with how your group is responsible, not by slamming others....
