Single Speed dilema

Well I have this limited edition single speed Ibis and I've been trying to install disc brakes mounts all year long, originally I send it back to Ibis to get the mounts on and since they moved their operations to Montana that's where the frame went ,when their deal with a frame manufacturing company up there did'nt work out I got the frame back with/out the mounts (this after a 2 month wait)well off it whent again this time to Spot in Canada and everything seemed fine when it came back so I send it back to Ibis for a free paint job and it finally arrived yesterday and it looked really sweet until we started to put it together, the damm disc brake mounts are too damm low.It fawking sucks!!!

That's not a dilema. That's fawkin' irritating! This was the free paintjob you needed to whine for right? Have you spoken to Ibis since you got it back? And why did you use Spot? Why not a local builder?

No I haven't spoken to Ibis yet, since I got their free paint job, they are off the hook so I don't see why I need to talk to them but Spot in the other hand needs to fix my shit or pay for it .The reason I send it to Spot was because i like the disc brake mounts they do on single sppeds and the fast turn around(2 weeks) but it looks like they need to get off the pipe

Unhappy

I would be on the phone to Spot. Keep us posted on what they say. Is there a difference in brakes? Maybe your using a different brake that they intended the bracket for?
Did you mount the brake right?

That's onether of thre reasons i went with Spot, they use international standard mounts and yes i mounted the rotors and calipers right right ,the mounts are definatly too low and as luck will have it today is fucking friday i can't do anything until monday
i talked to Sycip and Taylor before deciding on Spot and they use that Phil Wood mount and it only works with Hayes discs
