whats my bike worth
Ok, i got a bike from a friend and i want to know if it is any good. It is a rocky mountain frame that my friend says is scandium. It has carbon fiber handlebars and seatpost. The forks are bomber x-flys. And all the derailers and brakes are shimano xtr. so whats it worth. Eric

rocky mountain frames are kinda pricy and xtr componets are top of the line for shimano and the forks are made by Marzirachi a good company dont know if i spelled it right. Check www.mtbr.com

hmmm lets see here. Rocky Mountain just happens to be one of my favorite brands of bikes. The scandium frame I've heard is incredible, it'll prolly be around $1000 bux for just that. The XTR groupo is pricey too, prolly about a grand. I'm guessin that the wheels are probably nice high end mavic's or sun's which are nice. The bomber fork I read somewhere is like 5-600 bux and feels pretty nice. I'm not a fan of carbon parts simply cuz they're expensive, that bar and seatpost are prolly like $150. All in all, a sweet used bike with quality used parts on it. I'd say it'd be about $2,000-$2,300. Sound good? I may be wrong but thats my best guess.
