I'll be there doing the cross country race. A group of about 8 make a long weekend out of it. Bike race, Expo, watch the other races, BBQ & Beer... You'll have a BLAST!
As far as the downhill, it's pretty cool. I've never rode it, but we check out a few parts of the run while were there. I watched a guy break his leg coming off a jump last year. Bring some $$... because the Vendor Expo has some great deals. I usually stock up on all my tubes & tires for the year there. The Kenda deals are unheard of. Plus clothing vendors blowout some of their prior year inventory. Shop early and shop offten. |

Second on the DH course. Its pretty mellow, and if you have any skill on that bike, you should be fine. I ran it once but just don't feel like spending that much money for it, you just dont get as many runs really. I LOVE the DS. I wish I lived there still, I grew up in Toro Park riding those trails every day

I will be there racing DS and my wife the DH. The DH is not tech but not smooth by anymeans. Minnar won it last year on a V10 and thats a big bike for a so called smooth course. You will be fine on your7 point.
I will be hangin out at the Likin Bikin booth, just ask for Marshall. Last edited by dirtnsurf; 03-21-2009 at 10:34 PM. |
