What seats are best for mud?

Would you want vinyl so they're easy to clean but take forever to dry, or cloth that is harder to clean but dries out faster?

I've heard that vinly seats will hold in water (like if they're in an open top jeep during a rain storm or from just muddin) and everytime you go for a spin your ass is wet.
I have also head that the cloth seats dry out a whole lot faster since the water in the cloth and foam can evaporate through the cloth seat. But the mud's gonna come off the vinyl a whole lot easier.

Or is it best to buy a set of waterproof neoprene seat covers and call it done?

why not buy a cheap plastic race seat from summit or Jegs..... easy to clean, dries fast and holds you in your seat belts

I have a Hunsaker Envy suspension seat. I did have a Summit racing bucket, but after a couple years of hard use it started to crack around the mounting holes. The main reason I switched is the fact that you only have one back, so why not protect it. Plastic seats are for drag racing, suspension seats are for hard core offroad use. I use a vinyl seat cover thats easy to take off and clean.

I have a set of neoprene seats from bestop and I would never buy them again. They just cant take the uv rays in a vehicle that never has a top on it and is outside all the time.

After 6 months they were trashed and when I washed them the top layer peeled right off. Now I just bought some covers that are water repellent and they can be machine washed- so far so good. That's what I would recommend doing.

Great for cleaning, but I would think they'd beat you to death. I installed some air ride bucket seats out of a Kenworth that feel great. I think the best bet is to find some comfortable bucket seats with good lumbar support, and then get some of those waterproof covers for them for easy clean up.

i had free new leather buckets from a chrysler town and country minivan and after the first mud run they got taken out as mud does not come out of leather, so i put in a stock cloth bench seat and its easier to clean and better for more people with only having a regular cab
