need rockwell brake help

I am replacing the right rear expander on my rockwell and need to see if someone can walk me through it. It has a large canister on the back of the backing plate that looks to be atached to the expander. Is there a special way to do this or just start unbolting it and bolt the new one in.
Thanks EBK

Expander? Sorry I'm not much for heavy hydraulic brakes. Air brakes are where its at
