I still have to rework the rear spring hangers some, put the pinion brakes on, steering, and driveshafts. I dont think I did too bad for driving it to my shop on saturday and having less than 4 grand in it total.

Nice start.

How about reworking the front springs: Putting the shackles on the trailing (Rear) part of the springs?

To get my front pinion angle where I wanted it I kinda had to. it was either that or make a complete subframe and have a wall hanging down putting alot of leverage on the frame when I hit stuff or just from cycling the suspension.

What's the purpose of this truck? I'm going to guess you are trying to make a show truck since it's so long.

Not hardly a show truck it might get a coat of flat black paint over the dents and bondo. Its mainly for mud my buddy and I built one like it for him and he needed someone to pull him out when he gets stuck. If I can get another steer axle it will have rear steer but suprisingly the axles turn pretty short

You're just up in Ottawa? That's not too far from us at all! We've been putting on non-competitive mud bogs for a couple years, but this year is the first time we've really advertised and tried to get the word out. Check us out: Earth Resin Offroad

We'd love to see those beasts down in Manito sometime!

One question, are you friends with the guy who sold you this truck (Brad)?

I don't know him really well, but my buddies (JohnnyU and others) have known him for a few years, and he comes and runs at our bogs when he can.

Truck is looking good, and as JohnnyU said, if you are looking to travel at all with that thing, try and come down to Levi's Backfield Bog on September 26th! Just go to www.earthresin4x4.com for more info! As JohnnyU said, it is in Manito, IL, so it isn't that far of a drive for you if you are interested!

I know Brad really well. I went to college with him and built the front suspension on his B2 and he was my best man in my wedding. I am more than willing to travel with this thing going to the Badlands on Aug 8th and from there who knows

I did a little more work last night put the front bumper on, made the rear driveshaft, and fixed the rear suspension. I even drove it for the first time suprisingly the motor has enough power to make the ass end squat when floored and spin those small tires. Thse steering still needs to be hooked up so I just backed it up 100 yards and drove it back to the shed a few times.

The drivetrain doesnt do too bad, but I have only driven it a couple hundred yards. The axles were $1500 for the pair wheels $340 and the tires were $350 I have been collecting parts for about a year and waiting for deals

If you get that truck going for Sunday, you can wheel it and I will wheel your blue Ford on Sunday.

Its kinda funny how all the Peoria guys are finally starting to meet Robb and vise-versa. It is a small world after all.
