2WD S10 Mud Truck
My buddie has a 1986 Chevy s10 with a newer 4.3 hes wanting to get rid of. I was throwing around the idea of buying it from him and making it into a mud truck. Do yall think it would be more trouble than its worth?
I would do a sas with full width chevy axles(dana 44 and 14bsf) Will those axles work? What t case should I run? I want to run 37" r1 tractor tires. Any input is appriciated. |

Just put a set of swampers on the back and have fun, it doesn't sound like you know what you're getting into.

it is what you make of it. do youre reasearch. yes its going to be alot of work but if you can weld and take your time, it can be a great mud truck. as for a case, if you're going to stay with 1/2 ton axles, I would recomend a 205. if you plan to upgrade to tons eventually, you might as well pony up for a 200. good luck with the build.
