My 81 toyo 22r only runs if i give it gas. I can drive it fine but will not idual

. Checked all vac line and fuel line/filter fine and drained the tank and ignt checked. Also wont pass smog cause of egr value. But i have replaced it like i was told by the smog guy to do havent taken it back to get smog so dont know if it will pass cause of this problem. I cant take it there. Only idea was the carb any help would be great. thank u

not enough info to help you. You need to do some basic testing first and give us the results. start it and try to keep it running while spraying carb cleaner in the intake. If it continues to run then you know its fuel. Could be the idle solenoid but like I said, you need to do some testing.

just raise the idle with the idle screw till your happy.

Thank u dont know a whole lot new to the 4x4 area aways raced bikes since i was little.I tryed that and it did nothing is there a way to check idle solenoid or any other ideas want to fix my self so i can learn. Thank u

i was told that the idle screw is sealed and cant be messed with from factory. idk but was told that so i never looked at it

If you raise the idle with the idle screw it's going to diesel.

check to see if you can keep it running with carb cleaner. if you can you either have a huge vacuum leak or the idle cut solenoid might not be working. I can only shoot you in the right direction, I can not fix it for you.

thank u guys for the help got it going

it was the vac line that connects to the tvsv it was blocked. when i pulled it off some crap and a tiny bit of fule came out. nother stupied ? y was there a tiny bit of fule in those lines??? just want to know thank u for the help
