I juwt put head gaskets in a truck for a friend. What would be the best way to clean the cooling system? I'm thinlijg of putting some purple power and water in the cooling system. Run it for a few minutes and drain. Repeat as needed. Flush and fill with antifreeze when done. Any reason not to?
since oil floats on water just take a turkey baster and suck the oil out of the rad or over flow tank
done this before and depends on how much oil takes about 1/2 dozen times to get all of it out
I work for a Caterpillar dealer. We deal with this at work on a regular basis. We have the best results with Cascade, cuts the oil and does not foam up at all.
