I"m wanting to get some feedback from guys running these on daily drivers. If that's even an option. My truck is a 2008 F-350 CC DRW 4x4. It will see some mild offroading on the weekends but nothing crazy. I know a guy with a SRW 350 running 41s and says he gets about 25k out of a set. I'd be happy with that...any input?
They're going to wear fast on a heavy ass truck like that, going to really hurt your towing capabilities. I'd be interested in how you plan on making them not rub sidewalls in the rear since the narrowest Irok is 13.5. And really, how extreme are you going to be wheeling on a crew cab dually that you need that aggressive of a tire?
I don't think it's a matter of need...lol...don't tow a ton with it anyway. You can buy hubcentric rear spacers for between the duals and they make an Irok in 37x12.50r17
Would ya like to see the melted pistons? Turbos junked after 60k? And we haven't even started with the raditors, front covers,t-stats or oil coolers. Just saying? Oh yeah forgot about HP pumps and the shitty fuel systems lol
Man...you must have really had a bad experience...Truck has 108k on it and has obly had a plugged oil cooler. All the recalls fix the known issues..not to mention that was almost exclusively Job 1 trucks
Uh yeah, how in the hell are you going to wheel a crew cab dually? I'm sure the guys out on the trail are going to love getting stuck behind you and pulling you out of your first obstacle or mudhole.

Recalls or PCM reflashes don't fix the problems they install new codes that can be read for differnt problems. Some of the early flashes wouldn't catch certain problems before they caused others. The recalls were for techs to actually be able to catch some of the problems before catastrophic failure. But the problems are still there and are not goin away. Buy a 6.7 powerstroke or a 6.0,7.3.
Thats funny....the early job 1s had radiator issues. Ford replaced the radiators and I haven't heard of any other issues nor has my truck had any in 110k miles. The fact that you recommend a 6.0 over a 6.4 says a lot. I agree on the 7.3 but it want what I was looking for.
If u haven't updated ur degas bottle you are gonna dump another radiator. Update ur egr valve. 6.4s are just alot more problematic and the solutions arent permanent fix. 6.0s u can stud them delete egr and oil cooler. Update ur STC fitting stand pipes and dummy plugs in the oil rails. Then they r bullet proof just like. 7.3 but way more of a power house.
Thats the plan...plus studs amd egr/oil cooler delete. Not looking to run 10s just a fun powerful truck I can play in the mud with. I thought about mud graps but they are way too wide fprv what I want to do. If I was back home where theres no freeways idea run a bias tire just cause of the cost alone but I'm stationed in CA for a few more years so need a radial
Don't worry about studding a 6.4. Oil cooler will be fine as long as u change ur oil every 5,000 and ur cooling system is clean and working well. Go get the updated degas bottle androute ur new hose off ur egr valve. Get a good tuner and get rid of the dpf. Change ur fuel filters every time u change ur oil. And trust me I'm a diesel tech. It might last ya. And stay away from irocks. Look into the m16s buddy of mine has 15,000 on his and they look great. Good luck
I have it all tuned and deleted already. I'm pretty handy on a diesel myself. Last CCLB dmax ran mid 12s. Ill look into the M16s just everyone here runs them...
M16's on a 4K rig...yeah they last a long time. You really want to spend money on an Interco tire to put on a 1 ton? How bout a set of load range E tire's that are a mud terrain like...Kelley Safari TSR, Goodyear Wrangler, and have heard good/bad about those Fierce Attitude tires.
Hate to chime in...it seems like the "Certified Ford Diesel Tech" has this all covered, but I thought you were wanting tire idea's for you 1 ton? :flipoff2:
I suggested m16s cuz he sounded like he was set on an interco tire. The m16s are made out of a harder compund than the soft irocs. And by the way get of the computer burn blue don't u have a Honda or Chrysler Pacfica to fix! Lol
Dont know what all of you guys are jabbering about....plenty of guys I know run m16s on 1 tons. Was hoping someone else here actually owned a 1 ton and could provide real life feedback on a full size diesel not some trail only barbie mobile
You have alot of room talking about our trail rigs when your running around with a f350 with irocs on it. I mean come on now if you could follow my k5 or burn blues burban or pickup thru the mud would be a miracle. Damn mall crawlers get off pirate and go to ricer diesels.com
Im almost positive I could keep up with his burb...obviously not going to keep up with a K5. But again...not looking to rock crawl...looking to go mud and DD. I forgot the e-thugs on pirate are so tough lol.

K5 is not a rock crawler. Built for the mud and river running.
