Locker side bearings...

Working on rebuilding a 1973 wagoneer rear D44 axle and thinking of going to a locker (ARB air, Eaton eLocker, or a OX) while I have it apart....

Question is do you use the same side carrier bearings with the locker you would with the stock carrier?

The reason I ask is looking at the timken bearing kits for D44 there are a LOT of them each with a different set of side and pinion bearings.

For example my axle needs DRK339BMK which comes with
DIFFERENTIAL SIDE BEARING:25590 25523

The DRK339AMK uses
DIFFERENTIAL SIDE BEARING:LM603049 LM603012

Need to pick up some axle bearings and seals so wanted to order my diff kit as well to save some on shipping.

Thanks,

can't say for the other brands, but my dana60 arb came with one special side bearing. you may have to download the instructions for your application to see if a d-44 is the same.
