So I'm running 4" King bumps in front and 4" Fox bumps in the rear, running approx. 5" of uptravel, so I only had 1" or so before contacting the bumps. I wanted to shorten the stroke some. The rears (Fox) were easy, disassemble, added a longer chunk of tube for the spacer, etc. Then I tore apart the King's. They use an aluminum spacer, although it's the same I.D. and stuff as the steel spacer in the Fox's.
So now, my question: Is there any reason I couldn't replace the aluminum spacer in the King's with a steel spacer, like the others use? Or would I be better off getting an alum. spacer made or get them from King?
Steel spacer from Fox on the left, alum. spacer out of King's on the right:
Thanks,
John
