Will a normal v6 3rd fit into a t100 axle?
I've used the search button... for a few days now. There is a lot of misleading info on what fits what. Doing the search i learned a ton about ratios and such... but couldn't find a solid answer on if the v6 3rd will fit into the t100 housing. From what i read it wont work the other way around. (t100 3rd into a v6 housing)
Can anyone shine some light on this? |

Even the supposed 8.4" is swappable with an 8" 3rd. The bolt pattern on the later 8.4" is slightly larger but drilling the flange slightly oversized will let it work.
Edit: Besides that the t100 most likely has a standard mini 3rd anyway. The 8.4 is a later design the tundra came out shortly after its entrance into the market.
