I HAVE A 90 4RUNNER AND WITH A 6INCH LIFT AND 33s IT SEEMS TO BE PRETTY SLOW UP HILL LIKE MAYBE ITS THE TRANNY. COULD IT BE THE TIRES/LIFT STOCK GEARING 4.56 OR 4.11 CAUSE IM NOT SURE. IM HOPING ITS NOT THE TRANNY. IF IT IS MAYBE A REBUILD? THANKS

You just recently bought this thing, right?
You have no other experience with it to base this concern on? If it's your first toyota, maybe you just expect too much power from it. Is it a V6 or the 4? Regearing will help you, headers will help you, but I doubt you have a tranny issue unless there are any symptoms at all pointing to the tranny having issues. |

On the plus side, I doubt it is the transmission! Auto? Manual? Converted? Little flashing dash light? Any other weird issues? Engine? Engine condition? What is it "slow" compared to? How steep is a "hill"?
Toyota's last forever because they don't make enough power to break themselves... |
