1979 Dana 60 Front Brake Pads

Hey everyone. I feel like this is a newb question but I couldn't find it in the Dana 60 bible or anywhere else yet.

I'm looking to get pads for a 1979 Dana 60 that I just bought (Advance has a deal on Wagner ThermoQuiets, which I'd like to get if possible). I'm not quite sure what to search for or tell the person at the store what vehicle it is for. I know they came from F-350s but they're also from the "snow fighter" package. Is there a VIN letter I should be searching for when looking for these pads?

I appreciate any help I can get. I'm probably just being an idiot.

I'm no guru, but tell them you need pads for 79 ford f350 4x4 with single wheels and the heaviest gvw they list. Should be a winner, I would think.

Thats what I would think too, but I'd like to make sure before I buy them.

78 and 79 f250 and 350's both use the same pads for both d44 and d60 front axles. Just make sure they are for a dual piston caliper set up.

Some parts stores don't list 79' f350 4x4's. Just say its for a f250 4x4. All of them used the same calipers and pads.

Everything they said and FWIW snow fighter package was just basically heavier front springs. I do not know if they even had a radiator upgrade that year.

I just ask for a 1978 F-350 4x4 when I get mine. I just buy the cheap semi-metallic, the fancy ones make wear noise after a year.

Never had a problem with my thermoquiets on my truck as of now. They brake better and dust less in my opinion.
