Jeep has a vibration under load
I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler and it has a bad vibration under load above 2500 rpm. The clutch has been replaced and it didn't help, however it definitely needed to be replaced. The jeep has about 75000 miles on it. What could be causing the vibration?
Thanks, Brittain |

Check the U-joints and yokes and the engine and transmission mounts. Then go through the suspension to see if anything is loose.

U joints
Put it in nuetral on flat ground with the ebrake on, and grab the shaft and shake it and check for play. Shake it in a cross patter like the ujoint is made. I'd I ahead and replace em, they don't always have play when thy are bad. On a rig that old its worth the 9 bux each you would spend. Also stick something between the Trans mount and skid and check for play. My vote is u joints. I speak from jeep u joint experience lol
